Living in the DENK – MAL building

The building at Bachstr. 6 – also known as NUSSERL – was built in 1687 and was likely converted on the ground floor in the 19th century to become a "stone-built floor." In 2013, it underwent a complete renovation and restoration, and was brought up to the energy efficiency standard of a low-energy house. The first tenants consumed less than €1,000 in energy costs per year for the entire house, which has approximately 285 square meters of living space. Because the building only had rudimentary utility installations before 2013, these were completely renewed. In this regard, the building is now in the same condition as a house that was newly built in 2013. Heating is provided by gas-fired boilers, located on the top floor, and additionally by solar hot water panels. Each unit has a fireplace to which a wood-burning stove can be connected. The ground floor has underfloor heating, while radiators are installed on the upper floors. The flooring consists of natural stone tiles (Solnhofener) or natural wood parquet. In the western area, there are two terraces – one facing south and one facing west – that can be accessed directly from the living area. On the ground floor, the northern room – with a separate entrance and potentially a bathroom – can also be used as an office, etc.

Bichl is located in southern Bavaria, 7 km from the A9 motorway exit at Sindelsdorf, and has a train station just 6 minutes from the house.
