Hochsitzweg 115, 14169 Berlin (Zehlendorf)The chamomile-yellow house is part of the well-known settlement designed by Bruno Taut and has been completely renovated over a period of 1 1/2 years, in close collaboration with the Berlin historical preservation office.
The renovation was overseen by an architect, with great care and attention to detail, which is evident in the house today.
All technical installations have been renewed: electricity, heating (gas), water pipes, bathrooms, solid wood flooring, windows (new double-glazed windows replicating the original design), a new front door, facade, ceilings, and walls.
At the same time, the original character of the house has not only been preserved, but consciously highlighted – through treated wood floors, exposed ceiling beams, a restored original staircase, and original doors.
Terracotta tiles and Bisazza mosaics were used in the bathrooms. The house will now be sold upon completion. We ourselves will not be moving in.
The garden faces south and is located in a quiet area. The Krumme Lanke lake is within about a ten-minute walk.

When selecting the materials, great care was taken to ensure quality and consistency. The original wooden floors, including the newly installed planks, were treated with a wood stain and oil finish. The original staircase was restored, and the original doors were preserved.

The house is located in Dahlem, one of the quietest and greenest areas of Berlin. The street is a residential area with very little through traffic, plenty of trees, and a neighborhood that has maintained its character for decades. Forests and other lakes are within walking distance, as is the Krumme Lanke. It's also conveniently located for daily life, with shops, schools, and kindergartens nearby. The S-Bahn and U-Bahn are also accessible, providing good connections to the rest of the city – without any noise or disruption.
