Lovingly modernized house with charm and history.

Our passion project in Ockenfels: A modernized gem with history, views of the Rhine, plenty of space, and sustainable electricity generated by our own photovoltaic system. We invite you to discover our very special, detached single-family home (circa 1900). Over the past few years, we have renovated this former farmhouse in the old village center of Ockenfels with great care and a lot of our own effort. Our priority was to preserve the historical character while simultaneously creating modern living comfort for our family. What makes our home so special:
Attention to detail: We have exposed original beams and created a striking feature wall in the kitchen using real basalt stone. We have preserved a piece of history in the living room – there, you can still discover the original, hand-painted wallpaper from the past. Comfort on every level: With approximately 165 square meters and 6 rooms, we have created plenty of space. On the ground floor, we enjoy the elegant Sukupira herringbone parquet flooring with underfloor heating. Thanks to the hillside location, it remains wonderfully cool here even in the height of summer. Modern bathroom & wellness: We recently renovated our bathroom. With its walk-in XL shower and stone flooring that's pleasant to walk on barefoot, it feels a bit like a spa every day. Investing in the future: We've made the house ready for tomorrow. Our own photovoltaic system, installed in 2023, generates green electricity with a capacity of 8.8 kWp, and a battery storage system allows you to directly charge your electric car via the installed wallbox. The hot water is produced in an environmentally friendly way using an instantaneous water heater. Heating is provided by a gas boiler. Our outdoor paradise: The courtyard between the house and the shed (with a practical laundry room) is our favorite place for gatherings. The self-built outdoor kitchen with a grill and traditional wood-fired oven makes every evening special. In the summer, the pergola covered in vines provides cool shade. And from the top windows, you can even catch a glimpse of the Rhine! Excellent location: We live in the heart of this idyllic old town. We can easily reach the Linz am Rhein train station on foot – perfect for quickly getting to Bonn, Cologne, or Koblenz. Key facts at a glance:
