The building was constructed around 1968. In the year 2000, an extension was added to the residential section. From 2020 to 2022, the entire building underwent modernization and renovation. The office section received a new roof and a large, covered terrace. Parts of the exterior walls were rebuilt with insulated facades and triple-glazed windows. Because the office section does not yet have a formal usage designation, it offers flexible possibilities for further development. Starting in 2020, the building underwent energy-efficient renovations. Triple-glazed windows were installed, along with external blinds. A Brötje air/water heat pump with sufficient capacity for partial heating of the hall was installed. All heated rooms are equipped with underfloor heating, with room temperature controllers for each room. Furthermore, the lighting was completely replaced with LED panels and fixtures. Wireless switches are used to control the lighting. The open-plan kitchen and living area have been fitted with new appliances. The facade in the residential area has been additionally insulated and plastered with thermal composite panels. The building is in excellent energy-efficient condition. During the coldest winter months, the desired room temperatures can be achieved with a supply temperature of less than 40°C. Optimal efficiency for the heat pump! The 1000-liter buffer tank is designed for hot water production, but it is not currently connected because the current usage has a low hot water demand. (This prevents contamination.)
The energy performance certificate from 2013 was created based on heating the building and producing hot water using an oil heating system, with a final energy consumption of 68.7 kWh/m² per year, including hot water production. By installing the heat pump in 2020, we now achieve an A+ rating (without hot water production via the heat pump).
Location
The property is located in a mixed-use area in Altenhagen, comprising residential, commercial, and agricultural zones. The adjacent new development is scheduled to have a new road completed in 2025. Furthermore, Park Street, which runs alongside the property, will also be newly constructed in 2025.
The property boasts a beautiful, natural environment with a castle garden, castle park, castle pond, and a lovely hiking trail along the Barthe river, located directly behind the property. A nature observation tower is nearby, and it's a popular spot for crane watching. Many birds and wildlife can still thrive in this area.
The clear air allows for impressive views of the stars.
In Starkow (approximately 2 km away), the "Backstein Geist und Garten" venue regularly hosts events.
A bus stop is located directly in front of the property on the street (currently with limited service).

The building is in good condition and is ready to move into. The plans show the potential for further development.
The GARDEN is designed like a park, with a variety of fruit trees, a large walnut tree, a beautiful ginkgo tree, and a large magnolia. It is all laid out with lawns and natural stones.
Parking spaces are available on both sides of the building.
The area around Altenhagen is of tourist interest due to its proximity to the Baltic Sea and its beautiful natural surroundings.
It is possible to convert the building into holiday apartments. The kitchen/living area can also be used as a conference room for the office section.
