For families, this means plenty of space outdoors, clean air, and a peaceful, safe environment to raise children. Particularly valuable for families: the kindergarten and elementary school are located in Buttlar. The St. Elisabeth kindergarten cares for children from one year of age until they start school, with care hours extending until 4:00 PM. The elementary school, which has a single class per grade, has an integrated after-school program and its own sports hall. This means short distances and no long commutes for the children. The amenities for such a rural location are surprisingly good: there is a butcher shop in the village itself, and mobile supermarkets regularly come directly to your doorstep.
