At the same time, Weitnau is very well connected to Isny and Kempten via the B12 motorway that runs above the town. For example, Kempten train station can be reached in under 20 minutes, from where there are direct connections to Munich, Ulm, or Augsburg.
Lindau on Lake Constance or Oberstdorf can be reached by car in 45 minutes, making spontaneous trips to the mountains or the "Swabian Sea" possible. The cycling route of the Allgäu Triathlon also passes through Weitnau.
