This house was built in 1953 and has been continuously modernized and adapted to meet changing needs by the owner. It has a partial basement, and large skylights were later added to the attic, along with a small room and a bathroom.

Situated conveniently on Landstraße 47, between Rendsburg and Kiel, Ostenfeld is an old farming village with three distinct residential areas: the new development of Mühlenkoppel, Grellkamp, which developed in the 1950s due to the influx of refugees after World War II, and the old village center, still characterized by agriculture, with its first documented mention dating back to the second half of the 13th century. Three houses, built in the summer of 1945 using materials exchanged for food, are still known to older residents as the "Flour and Sugar Houses." They are located near the St. Jacobi Church. The heart of the community is the "Alte Schule" (Old School), built in 1915. Originally used as a school and operating as such until the late 1960s, it was converted in 2003 into a community center with a hall and meeting room. The available facilities are heavily used by clubs and associations, as well as for private events. In addition, there is a daycare center located in the old school building. Residents can obtain groceries for daily needs and access medical care in the neighboring communities of Schacht-Audorf and Osterrönfeld, which are a 5-minute drive away. A vibrant community life fosters cultural exchange within the municipality.
