The detached house is located in the Liessow district, on the outskirts of the village, in a quiet area.
Dobin am See is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, situated on the northeastern shore of Lake Schwerin (Außensee), northeast of Paulsdamm, in a hilly terminal moraine landscape. Nearby towns include Schwerin and Wismar. The municipality includes numerous other lakes.
The current population of approximately 2,035 residents is distributed across the seven districts of Alt Schlagsdorf, Buchholz, Flessenow, Liessow, Neu Schlagsdorf, Retgendorf, and Rubow. There is a vibrant community life, village community centers, and active local fire departments.
Today, due to its direct location on Lake Schwerin, there are many tourist attractions, a holiday park, and a campsite. The district has a daycare center. A regional school with an after-school program is located in Cambs, approximately 5 km away. There is also a doctor's office there, with other doctors practicing in Leezen and Ventschow.
