The store is located in "Haus Holländer", a listed historic gabled house that was completely renovated in 2006.
The light-flooded rooms have barrier-free access at the shop window front and a glazed side entrance.
The premises are ideal for retail or services.
The building is a landmark in the cityscape and a frequent motif on postcards, both in the past and today.
The bookseller August Holländer (1891-1938) and his family lived and worked in "Haus Holländer". The Emsdetten local history museum was named after him.

The residential and commercial building is located directly in Emsdetten's pedestrian zone, two houses away from the town and market church of St. Pankratius.
Kirchstrasse has a healthy mix of shops and a high footfall. The neighboring stores include textile retailers, opticians, a flower store and cafés, most of which are owner-managed.
The street and the surrounding area offer a high quality of stay and invite people to linger.
For the first ten years after the refurbishment, a textile retailer with a high-quality range was very successful in the Holländer-Haus.
Since 2014, the "Haves - Papier & Feder" stationery shop has been located in the store with gift items, home and design accessories.
A new use is now planned from July 2026.
