In addition to the new gas heating system, there are wood-burning stoves on each floor, which creates a cozy atmosphere, saves heating costs, and makes the house more self-sufficient. Otherwise, the old timber frame construction has been renovated, with many new beams installed and new wooden parquet flooring. There is a lovely terrace and a treehouse for children, with a bicycle shed underneath. There is also space for storing wood, and the possibility to install a sauna, as I had the connections built for that purpose. The energy efficiency of the house is very good; the previous owner lived to be 99 years old, and when you enter, you immediately feel comfortable. The ground floor is suitable for wheelchair users.
Location
The house is about 5 minutes away from the market square, 2 minutes from the castle park, the music school is 3 minutes away and you can walk to the Saale on a beautiful path in 4 minutes. Train station 10 minutes. Everything that is important for everyday life is within easy reach by bike or on foot, whether it is for shopping or culture. Most doctors, kindergartens and schools are also within easy reach.
