Schröck is located approx. 8 km from the district town of Marburg in a south-easterly direction. There is an elementary school, a bakery and a daycare center in the village. The historic half-timbered town with the picturesque landgrave's castle is student-oriented with many cafés and restaurants as well as a wide range of cultural activities (Hessian State Theatre Marburg, museums, libraries, cinemas, etc.).
The University and the Marburg Clinic on the Lahn Hills are about 4 km away (approx. 10 min), the city center about 8 km (approx. 15 min), and there is also an hourly bus service from the village to Marburg, where you will also find a railroad connection.
Via the B3 or A45/A5, for example, you can reach Frankfurt in about 60 minutes, and Kassel via the B3/A49.
