Überlingen - Historic town with Mediterranean flair
Überlingen on Lake Constance can look back on over a thousand years of town history. In the city center, which is close to the apartment, there are winding old town streets with magnificent historic buildings that invite you to stroll and wander. The image of the old town is characterized by stately patrician houses, St. Nicholas Cathedral and the town hall with its late Gothic council chamber.
The five-kilometre-long nearby Lake Constance lakeside promenade with its Mediterranean flair is another highlight. There are boat moorings along the lakeside promenade as well as two beautiful lidos for swimming and sunbathing in summer. Well-developed cycling and hiking trails along the entire Lake Constance region round off the high recreational value.
With the Bodensee-Therme Überlingen, which opened in 2003, the town has greatly enhanced its reputation as a tourist center on Lake Constance and was able to further increase its attractiveness with the Landesgartenschau 2021.
