Historic villages are Neue Welt and Pöhlwinkel. The A 72 highway runs to the northeast of the municipality. The town of Lengenfeld lies on the Bundesstraße 94, which joins the A 72 at junction 9 (Reichenbach) north of the district of Schönbrunn. Lengenfeld has a railroad station and the district of Irfersgrün has a stop on the Zwickau-Falkenstein railroad line.
