Location
The market town of Mering in the district of Aichach-Friedberg (administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria) is a modern, lively and at the same time idyllic and rural place. Mering is home to around 15,000 inhabitants.
There are two elementary school, a secondary school and a grammar school on site. There are several daycare centers and kindergartens, a vacation kindergarten and an after-school care center (also for children over ten) to accommodate and care for younger children. With the first integrative kindergarten group in the district, the market town of Mering was also an early adopter of childcare for the disabled.
The leisure activities on offer leave nothing to be desired. There are over 100 clubs, an outdoor swimming pool, a modern library, a video library and a large number of well-developed hiking and cycling trails. A weekly market is held every Friday on the spacious market square. Mering is also characterized by social institutions such as the clothing store, the citizens' network, the food bank and the "Mering ist bunt" association, which campaigns against intolerance and for equal rights.

Thanks to its favorable location and excellent connections, Mering is an ideal location for commuters. From the local train station, you can reach Munich in approx. 20 minutes and Augsburg in approx. 17 minutes. The nearby A8, B17 and B2 highways provide quick connections to Stuttgart or Munich. Munich Airport can be reached in approx. 40 minutes by car.
