Handyman/Craftsperson Wanted – Live in Exchange for Renovations! I am looking for a reliable handyman or a skilled couple/family who can comprehensively renovate a detached single-family house in 76703 Kraichtal-Menzingen and then live in it. The house:
7 rooms
Approximately 120 m² of living space
Large garden
Large attic space for storage
Detached single-family house
Kitchen included
Base rent: €600
Your benefit: ✅ All materials will be provided by me (up to an agreed amount per trade).
✅ In return, there will be a reduced base rent of €600, a long-term lease agreement, and no termination due to personal need.
The following work, among others, needs to be done:
Remove unnecessary walls, remove old carpets, wallpaper, etc.
Remove construction debris/brick walls.
Cover walls and ceilings with drywall, plaster, wallpaper, and paint.
Paint the exterior baseboards.
Paint/repair timber frame beams as needed.
Install new flooring.
Partially rebuild the floor in the upper floor with OSB panels (the existing floor is damp in places).
Replace or renovate interior doors.
Renovate the bathroom, to the extent desired. Painting the facade
Rehabilitating the garden
Removing a small wooden shed at the back of the house
As well as other common renovation work.

The water and electrical wiring are in good condition and do not need to be replaced, however, the outlets and switches are partially surface-mounted. Currently, there is no heating system; the plan is to install split-system air conditioners. We are looking for reliable tenants with some DIY experience who are looking for a long-term home and who enjoy personalizing a house to their own tastes.
