For almost 100 years, the Silver Dome has been hidden in the forest above Hollstein. The hermitage was built in 1930, not as an ordinary weekend home, but as a personal forest retreat – a place of tranquility that has preserved its original character to this day. Located in the heart of the "Snow White" region along the German Fairy Tale Road, surrounded by a forest plot of approximately 14,000 m², this extraordinary hermitage uniquely combines history, nature, and architecture. The property, which covers approximately... The 64 m² building was constructed in 1930 based on a building permit issued by the authorities. It was designed by the regionally significant architect and district building official, Ernst Richard Koch (1884–1967). As the owner, he created a personal retreat in his hometown of Hollstein, which remained in his possession until his death in 1967. Since then, the "Silberküppel" (Silver Dome) has been continuously owned by his family. The property is located on a forest plot of approximately 14,000 m², in a quiet and secluded location. The tree cover consists mainly of beech trees, complemented by a few isolated serviceberry trees – a rare and ecologically sustainable, as well as economically valuable, tree species in our forests. The spacious veranda offers views of the forest and invites you to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this special place. The close connection people have always had to this place is evidenced by a handwritten song from 1962, entitled "Der Silberküppel – mein Paradies" (The Silver Dome – My Paradise). It states:

"I love to be in the Silver Dome,
where one can dream so sweetly,
far away from the noise.
I quickly left the hustle and bustle of the world. "Here is my Tusculum, my paradise."

These lines perfectly capture what has defined the Silver Dome for almost a century: a place of tranquility, connection with nature, and a conscious retreat.
