Thanks to the good transport links, it takes only a few minutes to reach the city center of Flensburg or the neighboring Denmark. Countless cycling and hiking trails along the Flensburg Fjord and in southern Denmark provide pure relaxation. The area of Harrislee extends along the western shore of the Flensburg Fjord of the Baltic Sea, in the natural region of Schleswig Vorgeest, and extends slightly into the fjord. The Krusau (Danish for Kruså), which largely marks the border with Denmark, begins with the outflow from the Niehussee, which is located within the municipality.
