In Leer, the Leeran Miniature Land, with over 1,500 m² of exhibition space, offers a great family outing. Oldenburg is reachable in about 40 km. And then there's the North Sea: On windy days, you can already feel the breath of the coast, which is just a short drive away. Emden, with its North Sea port, is approximately 35 minutes away by car – ideal for spontaneous trips to the Wadden Sea, the beach, or the East Frisian islands. Ostrhauderfehn is perfectly situated for families: The Ostrhauderfehn primary school is centrally located on Middendorfstraße, complemented by the Holtermoor primary school and the Schule am Osterfehn (a comprehensive and secondary school) right on the spot. Those seeking a secondary school will find the Albrecht-Weinberg Gymnasium in the neighboring town of Rhauderfehn, just a few minutes away by car.
