This, combined with the historical ceiling heights (approximately 2.00 meters on the ground floor and 1.85 meters on the upper floor), creates the unique charm of this private retreat. It is an honest house with a true soul, divided into a cozy kitchen and living room downstairs, and separate bedrooms upstairs. It is also perfect as a romantic getaway near the border. The history of the house is partially documented in the village museum, although not completely. Its origins date back to approximately 1780. Furthermore, according to the Seiffen Open-Air Museum, it is a classic "Mittelflurhaus" (a house with a central corridor), which is still discernible. It was originally built and inhabited by miners and craftsmen. Some details are also visible in the village museum. Later, a well-known postman and dialect poet lived and worked within these inspiring walls.

The house will be handed over fully functional and partially modernized.
The roof was renovated in 2019 with new pre-treated shingles. The roof structure was also refurbished. The facade was updated in 2018 with fiber cement panels (20/20 and 60/30 profiles), and the stone cladding was renewed. The stoves were replaced in 2018 and 2024. The flooring on the upper floor was completely replaced with 24mm tongue-and-groove wooden planks in 2018. The kitchen was installed in 2018. The utility room was renovated in 2020. The entrance platform was renewed, and a flower bed was built. A carport (4x9m) was approved and constructed, and planted in 2023. A shed for coal and wood (5.5x9m) was built with a solid wood structure, including a covered terrace. The planting and soil were added in 2023, including a wildflower meadow, shrubs, bushes, and climbing plants. The attic was insulated. The utility room was converted from a former stable, among other improvements.
The building is heated entirely with stoves, and electric storage heaters can be used as supplementary heating.
