It takes about 10 minutes by car to Breisach and about 25-30 minutes by car to Freiburg im Breisgau. The Burkheim-Bischoffingen train station is within walking distance. You can reach the A5 motorway junctions (in the direction of Karlsruhe or Basel) in about 15 minutes.

There is a kindergarten in the town of Burkheim. A primary school is located approximately 5 minutes away by car in the neighboring town of Oberrottweil. Secondary schools are located in Breisach.
