The house is located as the second-to-last property in a row of houses, and the street is very quiet because it's a dead end. The houses are not crowded together, but are spaced approximately 50 meters apart. Those who wish can partially provide for themselves on the large property. Currently, there are a few old fruit trees (many different varieties of apples, one pear, and a very delicious, juicy peach, apricot, and plum, as well as walnuts and hazelnuts). Within cycling distance, there are plenty of fruit tree avenues if you want to stuff yourself with cherries, pears, apples, and plums. In addition to the fruit trees, the property also has two willow trees, approximately ten berry bushes (excluding elderberries, but with those, there are at least twenty), nettles, garlic, plantain, chickweed, dandelion, lungwort, wormwood, and many other plants.
The house is solid and requires manageable renovation work, but none of it is urgent. However, a roof window should be replaced before winter. The cost for this ranges from 500 to 3000 euros, depending on the extent of the work performed by the company. The extensive renovation, which also included creating additional living space, cost between €3,000 and €150,000. All the necessary materials are available to carry out the renovation in an environmentally friendly way (chalk, pigments, glue). For those who are new to this and would like to learn, I am available for one day to demonstrate the techniques. Because there are two chimneys, it is no problem to heat all the rooms with a wood-burning stove. Currently, a small stove with a small cooking and warming plate, a tiled stove, and a stove with a large cooking plate and oven ("Küchenhexe" – formerly known as a kitchen witch) are connected and approved for use. Almost everything is also in place for a gas heating system. It was not used last winter and has been temporarily shut down because it is too expensive and not reliable enough in terms of supply security. In winter, the "Küchenhexe" provides hot water (yes, even for a bathtub), or there is an electric instantaneous water heater available year-round. If desired, the small electric sauna can be sold as well. In the attic, there are currently two bedrooms, with the smaller one (8m²) being a passageway. The larger room is approximately 12m². Both rooms have sloping ceilings on one side. The outbuildings include a small cellar, a garage, and a stable for two pigs and at least 20 chickens. Adjacent to this is a shed, but the roof is leaky in a few places. For more details, please refer to the ground floor plan, which has been drawn to scale.

Location
Hackenow is a district of Alt Tucheband. Historically, it was a manor house, but today, after the major battle in 1945, it is a settlement consisting exclusively of single-family homes.
The public transportation links by bus to Seelow, Golzow, and Gorgast are quite good. All of these places are less than 10 kilometers away and easily accessible by bicycle. This is worth mentioning for those who appreciate not being completely dependent on a car. From these locations, you can reach Berlin-Lichtenberg in about an hour by regional train, or Küstrin (Poland) in about 15 minutes, with its beautiful forests and surrounding wetlands.
Kindergartens and schools, as well as plenty of shopping opportunities, are located in Manschnow, Golzow, and Seelow. Swimming areas along the old Oder River are in Gorgast and Golzow.
In the surrounding area, there are numerous farms and nurseries where you can obtain fresh produce.
