The layout of the ground floor was redesigned; wall sections between the kitchen, dining area, and living room were opened up, partially structurally reinforced, and rebuilt. The roof area was also structurally renovated. The roof was re-covered and additionally insulated in 2009. Further work was carried out on insulation and additional construction. In 2010, extensive renovation work was performed, including updates to the main technical systems. All windows and the electrical system were completely replaced. The sanitary areas were installed or modernized on multiple levels: a guest toilet on the ground floor, a bathroom with a shower on the upper floor, and another bathroom area in the attic with a freestanding bathtub. As part of the renovation, the heating system was also revised; in addition, underfloor heating was installed in the attic. These works were complemented by further permanent improvements to the construction and finishes. This includes a new floor installation in the attic, parquet and tile work, interior doors, the installation of the fireplace, the carpenter's kitchen which was installed in 2012 and renovated in 2023 with new wooden fronts and high-quality appliances, the sunroom which was added in 2012, and the front door which was replaced in 2023. The purchase price reflects not only the location, land, and living space, but also the already improved technical and structural standards, particularly regarding the roof, insulation, windows, electrical systems, heating, and plumbing. The renovations that have already been completed likely represent an investment of approximately €120,000, based on a conservative estimate. The high-quality kitchen, which includes all appliances (Miele dishwasher with XL Auto-Dos system, Tepanyaki grill, cooktop, steam oven, and oven from Gaggenau), is also included in the purchase price.
