Corbusier House, Berlin.

The building, comprising 530 apartments across 17 floors, was constructed in 1957 as part of the international building exhibition Interbau, based on designs by Le Corbusier. It has been a protected historical monument since 1997 and was most recently supported by the German Foundation for Monument Preservation with €60,000 for renovation work. The clearly structured facade, with loggias highlighted by color, defines the building's appearance. The spacious lobby documents the history and architectural concept of the building. A central element is the series of internal "streets" accessible via three elevators. These replace traditional floors and create a functional, urban space within the building. At the same time, they deliberately mark the transition from the communal area to the private living space. The building's technical services, advisory board, and property management cooperate in the best interests of the owners' association. They have successfully established a policy of proactively funding necessary repair and renovation work from existing reserves. This ensures there is no backlog of renovations and no need for loans. The apartment is designed as a maisonette and is located on the 13th and 14th floors. Access is via the 8th floor. The entrance leads through a small foyer into the open-plan living and dining area, which connects to the kitchen. The west-facing balcony offers a panoramic view, stretching from the Olympic Stadium to the Grunewald forest. An internal staircase leads to the upper floor, which features an open-plan living area, a bedroom, and a barrier-free shower room in between. The east-facing balcony on this level provides a panoramic view of Berlin.

The Corbusier House is located in Berlin-Werthe, not far from the Olympic Stadium, and is nestled within a 63,000 square meter property that is available for the residents' use.

The S-Bahn (suburban train) is approximately a 3-minute walk away and offers a direct connection to the city center. Bus stops are similarly close.

From the height of the apartment, the balconies offer panoramic views to the west over the Grunewald forest and to the east over Berlin.
