Ratskeller Osnabrück: Launching of the Expression of Interest Process.

Leasing of a city-owned restaurant space:
The city of Osnabrück intends to lease the restaurant spaces located in the so-called "Ratskeller" (City Hall Cellar) in the historic Osnabrück City Hall to a qualified tenant through an invitation to tender process. We are seeking a capable tenant with a well-conceived, quality- and service-oriented restaurant concept, as well as a long-term economic perspective. The application deadline is September 21, 2026. The "Ratskeller" is located in a culturally and historically significant, touristically important location in the heart of Osnabrück's city center and offers excellent conditions for a sustainable, economically viable restaurant concept with broad appeal. In summary, the property offers:
- Restaurant spaces on the ground floor and in the basement of the historic City Hall.
- Additional office spaces that are spatially connected.
- Central location on the market square with high visibility and foot traffic.
- Historically influenced atmosphere with development potential.
- Outdoor dining is generally possible (subject to special permits for the use of public spaces). Procedure: The selection process will be conducted through a qualitative expression of interest procedure based on:
- the submitted concept,
- the economic viability,
- the operator's experience and references,
