This house certainly has some fascinating stories to tell, as it was built over 150 years ago. It stood in Ruhrort long before the first horse-drawn tram began operating there, or before the old ship exchange was inaugurated. It was already there when the Rhine froze over and people walked on the river, and when the Rhine bridge to Homberg was built. It has survived two wars and witnessed how the face of the neighborhood has changed over time. Thanks to the renovation, it is now ready for the next exciting decades.

The Location:
Ideally located in Ruhrort, near Karlsplatz. You don't even need a car here. Two supermarkets are within walking distance, as is the Leinpfad, a medical center, a bakery, a traditional confectionery, several restaurants and cafes, the Haniel campus, and the Neumarkt. A tram stop is located immediately nearby. It's also not far to Mühlenweide, the Ruhrort Yacht Club, other bus stops, and a train station.

The Neighborhood:
First of all, Ruhrort is not Düsseldorf. Thankfully, because otherwise, we couldn't all afford to live here. Ruhrort has its own charm, with the Leinpfad and Mühlenweide offering views of the most beautiful sunsets, its unique "island location" between the Rhine, Ruhr, and canal, the impressive bridge towers, many historic buildings, the Haniel campus, and, of course, its proximity to Oberhausen, the city center of Duisburg, the Lower Rhine region, and yes, even Düsseldorf. Of course, we could still use a few more interesting shops. Of course, some homeowners could take better care of their properties, and of course, like anywhere, there are both beautiful and less beautiful areas.
