Sossenheim has been a district of Frankfurt am Main since 1928. It is located in the northwest of the Frankfurt-West district and forms part of the northwestern boundary of the city of Frankfurt am Main. The neighboring districts and municipalities are Unterliederbach and Höchst to the west, Eschborn, Schwalbach am Taunus, and Sulzbach (Taunus) to the north, Rödelheim to the east, and Griesheim and Nied to the south.
The district can be reached by public transport (bus) via Rödelheim (55), Höchst (50, 56, 58), the Bockenheim university campus, or the Frankfurt Messe (50), and Eschborn (58). At night, the N1 night bus line is available, and train connections are available from Höchst or Bad Soden/Sulzbach. The journey to Frankfurt Central Station takes approximately 30 minutes.
Sossenheim station is located on the southwestern edge of the district, along the Sodener Bahn line, and is served by regional train line 13. The industrial area on Wilhelm-Fay-Straße is connected to the high-speed rail network via the Eschborn-Süd S-Bahn station to the north, or via bus line 55 to the south.
The Frankfurt city center can be reached by car in approximately 10 minutes. The Main-Taunus-Zentrum shopping center is a short drive away.
