The Westendstraße runs through the Westend district of Munich. The street begins north of the Theresienwiese and ends after crossing the on-ramps to the A96, near the school and sports complex at the western end of the Westpark. The popular Westpark is a park located in the Sendling-Westpark district of Munich. It was created for the International Horticultural Exhibition (IGA) in 1983 and has been freely accessible to the public since then. After an expansion, the Westpark covers an area of 69 hectares and extends approximately 2.4 kilometers from east to west. The park's recreational facilities include playgrounds, sports facilities, barbecue areas, walking paths, and bicycle paths, all surrounding a lake. Tram line 18, with the Säulingstraße stop, is located right outside. The city center and the Munich Oktoberfest are easily accessible in just a few minutes. The Westendstraße subway station is approximately 1 km away. The Westendstraße station serves lines U4 and U5 of the subway, as well as tram line 18.
