The area to be developed is located in the village of Dornumergrode/Dornumersiel in the municipality of Dornum on the East Frisian North Sea coast. In the second row to the existing buildings, a municipal road (Münsterpolderweg) branches off the main road and provides easy access to Ondelweg. At the same time, there is a spatial distance to the main road to the south due to the existing residential buildings. To the north, the adjacent landscape conservation area is located as an outdoor area. Future development is practically impossible here.

The Wadden Sea World Heritage Site is 1 km away as the crow flies, the coastal resorts of Dornumersiel approx. 3 km, Nessmersiel with ferry connection to the island of Baltrum approx. 6 km, Bensersiel with ferry connection to the island of Langeoog approx. 9 km and the tourist attraction of Dornum approx. 3 km.
