- A heat pump was installed in 2025. Until then, the house was heated exclusively by a water-burning stove. In addition, 12 m² of solar thermal energy is installed on the roof to heat the water. Thanks to the combination of the heat pump, a green electricity tariff and the log wood heating, the house is currently heated in a CO2-neutral way. In the period from the end of April to the end of September, the hot water is provided by the collectors on the roof and the heat pump is not needed. During the rest of the year, the solar thermal system supports the heating system and thus significantly reduces the need for electricity and firewood.

- Decentralized ventilation system with heat recovery (allergy-friendly if required thanks to special filters)

- all 6 windows on the south side are fitted with light metal external venetian blinds with individual controls and can be adjusted to the position of the sun using the switches

Location
The house is located in a traffic-calmed street in Hipstedt, a small village west of Bremervörde.
Family-friendly and well connected, the location offers short distances to important facilities for daily life. A kindergarten is located directly on site, while the elementary school and a secondary school in Oerel can be reached by school bus in just a few minutes.
The train station is only a 5-minute walk away and provides connections to Bremervörde and onwards to Hamburg or in the other direction to Bremerhaven.
The town of Bremervörde with its extensive infrastructure - including a wide range of shopping facilities, doctors, pharmacies, petrol stations and leisure activities - is only around 12 kilometers away.
Beverstedt, another larger town nearby, is around 15 kilometers away.
Bremerhaven can be reached by car in 30 minutes and Bremen in around an hour. The North Sea beach in Cuxhaven is just over 50 minutes away by car.
Local amenities are also available in the village itself: a supermarket with a drinks store is just a 5-minute walk away.
