Location
The well-kept residential and commercial building is located directly on the northern edge of Prenzlauer Berg at the tip of Weißensee on Caligariplatz (the former district boundary runs right next to the building). The area (especially Caligariplatz) is to be further upgraded and beautified in the coming years through a planned redevelopment area.
There are numerous cultural attractions within sight, such as the Brotfabrik, the former silent movie theater Delphi (where many films for Babylon Berlin were shot) and, a little further away, the Weißensee open-air theater and the planetarium at the Prenzlauer Allee S-Bahn station. At the same time, the Weißensee park and the Jewish cemetery are ideal for swimming and long walks.
A variety of shops (e.g. a delicatessen in the building, another one as well as an organic market on the other side of the street and a few hundred meters away Aldi, Rewe and DM), a small weekly market 50 m away, cafés, restaurants, schools, daycare centers and galleries as well as good public transport connections characterize the area. The nearby streetcar not only takes you quickly to the Prenzlauer Allee S-Bahn (2 streetcar stops away), but also to the Alexanderplatz transportation hub, which is only 4 km away.
Streetcar (12, 50, M13, M2) virtually on the other side of the street and bus stop right outside the door. Alexanderplatz can be reached in 12 minutes. By car in 10 minutes on the highway heading north/Berliner Ring.
