Bolter Mühle is located on the south-eastern bank of the Müritz in the district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte. It is located south of the Müritz National Park. Bolter Mühle is located opposite the former Bolter Lock on the Bolter Canal, the northern section of the Alte Fahrt waterway. The mill is approx. 1 km east of Müritz, the beach and the Bolter Canal landing stage. The Müritzsteilufer nature reserve is located 2 km to the south and the Müritz National Park 3 km to the north of Bolter Mühle. Various hiking, water hiking and cycling routes lead past the Bolter Mühle.
The town of Rechlin is 6 km away. There you will find, among other things. School, daycare center, supermarkets, department store, post office and pharmacy.
The Bolter Mühle site borders the Bolter Canal to the north via the Mühlenbach stream, which connects the Müritz with the Havel waters and the Mecklenburg and Ruppin lake districts. The park is bordered to the east by the grounds of the Müritz fishermen and the river landscape of the Old Bolter Canal, to the south by the Müritz fishermen's fish farm and to the west by the road to Boek, the Bolter Canal with a hiking trail to the Müritz and the Alte Fahrt vacation village.

Bolter Mühle is located between Rechlin and Boek. The road (dead end) is accompanied by a cycle path throughout.
The nearest train stations are Kratzeburg, Mirow and Waren-Müritz. The next bus stop "Bolter Schleuse" is directly in front of the house.
