Justification of the monument
The residential building at Harburger Straße 20 was built around 1750 to the west of the street and gabled to it. There is a public interest in its preservation for historical and urban planning reasons due to its value as a testimony to the history of the town and its settlement, as a typical building and as a feature of the streetscape.

The historic old town of Celle is located in the federal state of Lower Saxony and is a large independent town with a population of 66,834.
Celle is considered the southern gateway to the Lüneburg Heath. The special features of the historic old town are the more than 400 half-timbered houses and the Celle Castle in Renaissance and Baroque style. The Aller also flows directly along the edge of the town.
