The near-surface geothermal system with storage probes can be used for cooling in summer and heating in winter. For this purpose, 5 geo-coaxial probes with a depth of 48 m were installed on the property. A brine-water heat pump for a heating output of 7.2 - 20.1 kW is installed. A PV system with an installed output of 20 kWp is available on the roof to utilize solar energy.
Underfloor heating and wall panel heating ensure a uniform room temperature with warm floors and walls. In cooling mode, the bathrooms can be heated separately in summer.
Clay plaster was used on selected wall surfaces to create a pleasant indoor climate. It is moisture-regulating, supports heat storage and binds pollutants and odors. The house has one full bathroom, three shower rooms and a guest WC. The shower room on the first floor is barrier-free and handicapped accessible.
There is a panoramic fireplace on the upper floor and a Swedish stove on the lower floor. All rooms are equipped with electric blinds.
Up to 12 people can sit around the round barbecue area. The seating area can be shaded by an awning in summer and can also be used in the rain.
The PV system with an output of 20 kWp is located on the roof.
Energy balance:
93,900 kWh of electricity was produced from 01.01.2021 to 31.12.2023.
The geothermal system consumed 36,700 kWh during this period, meaning that 57,200 kW could be fed into the public grid.
Location
The property is elevated above the rooftops of Kranzberg in the district of Freising with an unobstructed view of the Ampertal valley.
Bus routes 616, 619 and 695 to Garching, Freising and Allershausen are within easy walking distance. Three restaurants, two bakeries and a general practitioner are just a short walk away. Kindergartens, crèche, elementary school, recreational and sports facilities and the Kranzberger See lake round off the immediate surroundings.
In nearby Allershausen there are further stores, pharmacies, petrol stations, fitness centers, discount stores and restaurants. The Kranzberger Forst with its world forest as a recreational area can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.
