The house is operated with an air-to-water heat pump, supported by a PV system and an electricity storage unit. This keeps the electricity costs low.
All rooms are equipped with underfloor heating and large windows with electric external shutters. Parquet flooring has been laid in the 3 bedrooms and modern floor tiles in the other rooms to match every piece of furniture, including your own dream kitchen. A fiber optic connection will be available shortly. Until then, connections from Vodafone and Telekom are available.
Location
The apartment is located in the upper village of Öflingen. You can take long walks and hikes for a short break right on the doorstep. You can often see the snow-covered Swiss Alps. By bike or car, you can quickly (1.3 km) reach the Dorfladen Öflingen eG, where you can do all your shopping for your daily needs in a relaxed atmosphere and/or linger in the cozy cafeteria with coffee and cake. Young and old meet here to squat, chat and shop - in keeping with the village store's motto of contributing to social cohesion.
Good to know for those who want to move here from further afield:
Wehr-Öflingen is a family-friendly OT and is located directly at the foothills of the southern Black Forest on the Wehra. It flows into the Rhine in neighboring Wehr-Brennet, which forms the border with Switzerland. The Rhine bathing area and the canoe club in Brennet are also almost 3 km away. An ideal starting point for many varied excursions by bike, canoe or on foot.
There is an active community life if you like. In addition to the village store, Öflingen offers a KulTurm with a variety of cultural events, a community library, as well as sports, music and carnival clubs. All are within easy reach.
Infrastructure:
There are restaurants, a pharmacy, doctors, daycare centers and an elementary school directly in Öflingen, as well as a direct public transport bus connection to the secondary school in Wehr and the grammar schools in Bad Säckingen and Schopfheim. Public transport: by bus to Schopfheim via Wehr and to Bad Säckingen via Wehr-Brennet station (trains run to Rheinfelden - Basel Bad and to Waldshut Tiengen-Lauchringen). The nearby bus stop is 240 m away on foot.
In a few minutes by car, bus or bike you can reach Wehr (from 2.5 km) where there are many other shopping facilities beyond the daily needs, doctors and leisure activities.
The Swiss border Bad Säckingen/Stein can be reached in approx. 12 minutes by car (9.2 km) via the B518 and B34.
