Our house is located on the banks of the Isar in the district of Dorfen near Icking. It combines a quiet, village-like, family-friendly environment with an infrastructure of short distances. The surroundings of our house are characterized by well-kept detached houses.
The district of Dorfen has a kindergarten (approx. 6 min. on foot) and a bus stop, from which you can reach Wolfratshausen, the former district town of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district (approx. 20,000 inhabitants), in 12 minutes.
The municipality of Icking is just 5 minutes away by car.
Icking has a REWE supermarket and a delicatessen where you can stock up on your daily needs. All other errands can be done in Wolfratshausen. Icking also has a stop on the S-Bahn to Munich. Commuters appreciate this ideal combination of work and rural living. Icking is known beyond the district for its good educational facilities. The school bus stop is just a 2-minute walk from the house. In addition to an elementary school, Icking has a grammar school that can look back on a 100-year history and is highly regarded for its quality standards. Icking also has a state-approved, private elementary school with a private, state-approved grammar school. The Munich International School in Starnberg can be reached by car in just under 20 minutes. Around 1200 pupils from around seventy nations are taught by 170 teachers at this all-day school.
