The house was built by a master plasterer in 1913. Unfortunately, the Chairman of the State Council of the former GDR, Mr. Erich Honecker, decided to stroll past this house in 1989 for the 40th anniversary of the GDR and so in 1988 the beautiful stucco façade was replaced with the then popular and very durable GDR scratch plaster.
The beauty of the house can still be admired in the hallway and in some of the apartments.
The apartments have all been completely renovated and some have been modernized or newly built in the last 7 years. (8 units 2002 and 8 units 2018-2025)
