Location
Sorgenlos is a district of Peenehagen in the district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The municipality is administered by Amt Seenlandschaft Waren, which is based in the town of Waren (Müritz). Sorgenlos is located in the densely wooded area north of the town of Waren and west of Lake Torgelow.
The district covers an area of almost five thousand square kilometers and is home to more than 258,000 people. The Mecklenburg Lake District is known for its picturesque landscape with numerous lakes, forests and historic villages. The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for water sports, hiking and cycling tours. Towns such as Waren (Müritz) are cultural centers with charming half-timbered houses and regional history.
The A19 federal highway passes Sorgenlos at a distance of approx. 38 km. Sorgenlos can be reached via the main roads 108 and 192. Waren (Müritz) train station is located on the Neustrelitz-Rostock railroad line (regional express line RE5). Since 2019, an intercity line has been connecting Warnemünde and Rostock with Berlin and Dresden via Waren every two hours.
