Public transport: Aplerbeck is about 8 km from Dortmund city center. The subway line U47 takes about 16 minutes directly to Dortmund city center and on to the main train station.
The U47 stop "Schürbankstraße" is about five minutes from the apartment. To the east (Aplerbecker Str.) and south (Köln-Berliner Straße) there are several bus lines operated by the Dortmund public transport company.
