The house, built in 1968, was completely renovated by an architect in 2019 according to the client's wishes and supplemented with an intermediate building to the outbuilding and a carport. The first floor of the house, the intermediate building and the outbuilding were excavated and a new, thermally insulated concrete floor was installed. Triple-glazed windows (floor-to-ceiling on the ground floor) were installed throughout the house. A new gas condensing boiler system (Brötje), new radiators on the ground floor, mostly new electrical and water pipes, a new threshold-free bathroom on the ground floor complete the refurbishment.
Etherea air conditioning systems from Panasonic on the ground and upper floors ensure comfort. From the outside, most of the windows can be closed with electric aluminum blinds from Warema (wind-resistant up to wind force 9).
On the first floor, high sliding doors close off the open-plan living area with kitchen (approx. 36 m²) and the bedroom (approx. 15 m²) and allow flexible use of the rooms. A bathroom with a spacious, threshold-free shower area, a Toto shower toilet and electric underfloor heating completes the first floor and allows you to use the house at ground level.
A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor with a large and a small study/bedroom or guest room as well as a full bathroom with bathtub and shower and a separate WC.
Wooden parquet flooring is laid throughout the house, with tiles in the studio/utility room and in the bathrooms. Great importance was attached to using non-toxic and low-emission materials.
In the transition to the outbuilding, a ceiling-high built-in cupboard fitted by a carpenter offers generous storage space.
Fireplace connections for wood-burning stoves are located in the open-plan living area (ground floor) and in the studio.
The approx. 20 m² studio opens up to the roof and has all the connections for a utility room and two sockets for three-phase current. From the studio you have direct access to the greenhouse.
A fiber optic connection is available in the house, but has not yet been activated.

The house is very quietly situated in an (almost) secluded location on a farm road with no through traffic. In Leezdorf, approx. 1.5 km away, you will find a small supermarket, a restaurant, a VR bank and other stores for basic necessities. An elementary school and a kindergarten can also be found in the center of the village.
Doctors, pharmacies, organic food stores and larger stores are located in Marienhafe (approx. 7 km) and Hage (approx. 6 km). It is only a stone's throw to Norden (approx. 10 km) and to Norddeich to the ferry terminal (approx. 16 km). Lütetsburg Castle with its castle park, the castle park café and the golf course is approx. 8 km away, Greetsiel approx. 17 km.
