Shopping facilities that go beyond groceries can be found in the Farmsen or Bramfeld shopping centers, both of which can be reached by public transport or simply by bike.
Thanks to the good rail connections, the Quaree in Wandsbek and the Hamburger Meile are also nearby.
For leisure activities, there are several swimming pools in the area (2x summer outdoor pool + 1x indoor pool), a sports club with tennis courts, an ice skating rink, a paintball facility, a cinema and a riding stable. All facilities are within easy cycling distance.
Those who prefer to spend their leisure time in the countryside have the "Green Ring" right on their doorstep. You can also walk / cycle along the Wandse river and the Berner Au towards Volksdorf and beyond or towards Rahlstedt in the Höltigbaum nature reserve. The airport is approx. 30 minutes away by car and approx. 45 minutes by train. Distance = no aircraft noise.
