17268 Templin – BrandenburgWe bought Forsthaus Metzelthin in 2005 and renovated and refurbished it until 2006. In the main house, all the floors, the windows, some of the doors and all the pipes (electricity, gas, water) were renewed and the apartments were remodeled according to our ideas.
The house has 2 floors, the inhabited part has approx. 200 sqm. On the ground floor there is a large living room (approx. 45 sqm), a large eat-in kitchen (approx. 30 sqm), a bathroom with toilet and guest shower, as well as a pantry.
On the 1st floor there is a small storage room, the bathroom with shower, bathtub, 2 washbasins and WC, a guest room, 2 smaller rooms and a large bedroom. Here is a sloping roof from approx. 1.30 cm.
In the guest part there are 3 fully furnished apartments.
The large apartment on the first floor has about 90 square meters, a large living room, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. This apartment has direct access to the guest garden (approx. 2,000 square meters).
On the upper floor there are 2 vacation apartments of approx. 45 sqm each: a large bedroom with integrated single kitchen, small bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC. On the 1st floor the roof pitch is approx. 1.30 m. The small apartments are accessible via external stairs. The entrance to the apartments is via a small balcony.
There is also a corner building on the property with garages and the dog school. The dog school building has also been refurbished and renovated. The dog school has a large storage/meeting room and 2 toilets in the basement and an office, a large seminar room (approx. 70 sqm) and a toilet on the first floor. The dog area is fenced in. Access is behind the neighbors' properties.
Fast internet (fiber optic) is available, but has not yet been activated.
The roofs are in need of renovation.
There are old trees on the property, e.g. 6 old lime trees directly in front of the house, which stand around a paved square. A vegetable garden was planted a few years ago and is also cultivated.
We rent out vacation apartments and pitches for motorhomes to people with dogs. The pitch can be divided by a gate, the guest part is separated from the private part by a high hedge, a fence and a gate.

Location
Metzelthin is a small village that belongs to the Klosterwalde district of Templin. The Metzelthin forester's lodge is located on the little-used road towards Gandenitz, right next to the forest.
Templin is about 15 kilometers away. Here you will find the town administration, doctors, hospital, shopping facilities, the MultiKulturelle Centrum, as well as schools, daycare centers, restaurants and cafés. The surrounding area offers many opportunities for leisure, culture and sport.
From Templin, you can reach Berlin (Ostkreuz) in approx. 1.5 hours by train or Oranienburg in approx. 50 minutes. From Oranienburg there are various regional trains and the S1 to Berlin.
You can reach Berlin by car in approx. 1.5 hours.
