In 2024, new triple-glazed windows were installed in the eastern extension.

The nearest larger towns are Böblingen, Calw and Sindelfingen, which are approx. 12 kilometers away. It is about 10 minutes to the A81 and about 15 minutes to the A8 at the Leonberger Kreuz junction. Numerous craft and service businesses have settled in Aidlingen. A REWE, Netto, Kik, DM-Drogerie, as well as several different bakeries, butchers, greengrocers, pharmacies and banks are nearby and can be reached on foot.
