Small, fine apartment on the mezzanine floor with floor-to-ceiling windows in front of the balcony and the park directly in front of it, so that when the doors are open you have the impression that you are sitting outside. It feels spacious and is very bright and friendly. The bed is behind a room divider, you could also make it disappear completely behind a curtain. The sun shines onto the balcony in the morning for a good start to the day with your first coffee.
No street noise at all, as there is a strip of garden below the balcony and then the park begins.
In the beautiful, bright, brand new bathroom there is a floor-to-ceiling shower, a towel radiator and space for a top loader.
The kitchen is for one person, so it is really small, but has a window and everything you need is there: sink, 2-ring hob, worktop, shelf, fridge and ! dishwasher !

The hallway is of course home to the wardrobe and there is still room for a chest of drawers and/or a shoe cupboard, which could also be considerably larger than the current cherry Art Nouveau chest of drawers.
On the other hand, there is a storage room that is ideal for everything that should not take up space in the living room: Ideal as a walk-in closet, storage space for mops, vacuum cleaners etc. and a large shelf would then also have room for suitcases, skateboards and tools
About the house: The so-called Giraffe House was designed by architects Klaus Müller-Rehm and Gerhard Siegmann and is a listed building. Their aim of creating airy living in the smallest of spaces has been a great success.

As the façade is getting on in years, a special levy of €120 per month will be charged from the beginning of 2024 until the end of 2028.

From my point of view the location is great:
- Parking lot at the house
- Park for relaxing / running or walking the dog right in front of your nose
- The Spree can be reached on foot in 5 minutes
- Nice and good neighborhood
- Close to the government district
- Restaurant in the building
- Tiergarten S-Bahn virtually on the doorstep
- 1 km from the Victory Column, 3 km from the Brandenburg Gate
