This semi-detached house, with its brick facade, is typical of its time (1989), meaning that all the essential components (heating, bathrooms, windows, roof, etc.) are in good condition. The bathrooms, doors, and windows are from the original construction period, while the flooring was renovated in 1998. They may not entirely meet today's standards. Since we want to sell the house without using a real estate agent, I will avoid the usual clichés ("bright and airy," etc.):
I bought this house with my then-wife almost 30 years ago. Of all the houses we viewed, this one was the only one that immediately appealed to me. Over the years, it has grown close to my heart, and I want it to go to a good family. Ideally, another family with young children should move in. What makes this house special?
1. Good size
2. Cozy (I know, that's a matter of taste)
3. The living room is connected to the terrace and garden by a large sliding door (west-facing).
4. The garden is larger than most newer semi-detached houses, meaning it's not too big for those who aren't keen on gardening, but big enough for children to play in.
5. It's spacious, with 2 children's bedrooms on the first floor and a converted studio (e.g., for the oldest child).
6. It has a full basement with a large storage room, laundry room, and a cool pantry.
The house is unassuming, practical, and has a few special features, including its classic basement, large garden, and fireplace.

Information on equipment
The fixtures are typical of the late 1980s and have been updated where necessary.
The gas boiler was replaced approximately 15 years ago. The wooden windows and exterior beams will be repainted by June.
Everything is well-maintained, although it shows signs of wear and tear after over 30 years of use.
Location
The house is in Wiescheid, which is officially part of Langenfeld. But you almost feel like you're living in your own world: no longer Langenfeld and not yet Solingen.
The village has its own kindergarten, its own elementary school and an ALDI store.
You can be in Langenfeld or Ohligs in 15 minutes for shopping. You can also find secondary schools there.
The ICE train line also runs through Wiescheid. You can hear the train when the wind blows from the east.
The nearest bus stop is a 4-minute walk away
In 5 minutes by car you are on the A3
in about 10 min. Ohligs you have an IC train station and
Düsseldorf and Cologne airports are about 30 minutes away;
of course only if you are not held up by a traffic jam.
It's great for joggers and cyclists because you can be in the countryside without having to walk or cycle on main roads - all the way to the Rhine in Hitdorf.
But no advantage without a disadvantage: you can hear the noise of the A3 when the wind blows from the west. I had always hoped that the A3 would get a noise barrier. Well, what isn't can still be done.
