Location
This apartment building with only three residential units is located in Plettenberg-Ohle.
Plettenberg (industrial center and forest landscape) is a town with around 29,000 inhabitants in the east of the Märkischer Kreis district. It is located between the northern Lennegebirge and the southern Ebbegebirge.
A dense network of country roads connects Plettenberg with Sundern in the north and with the district town of Lüdenscheid less than 20 kilometers to the west. Express buses and night buses also run on this route. The nearest highway connection is to the Sauerland A45 in the south of Lüdenscheid.
The four valleys of the Lenne, Else, Grüne and Oester rivers define the distinctive features of the town. From here, steep, idyllically wooded slopes extend in all directions. The most densely wooded town in the district with its many water arms is also a very important industrial center. However, a clearly defined settlement structure ensures that the streetscape is not dominated by the unsightly aspects of this center of gravity.
The area of the city center around the Christuskirche church impresses with its beautifully cobbled, quiet alleyways and well-kept half-timbered buildings. The town library, youth center and a kindergarten are very conveniently located and stand for the family-friendliness of the town. A grammar school, a secondary school, two secondary modern schools and six elementary school are spread across the town. The aforementioned Eiringhausen is located in the north of the town.
This very lively district on the River Lenne is also heavily dominated by commercial use. The excellent AquaMagis sports, adventure and outdoor pool is located directly on the river. Almost 500 kilometers of forest paths in the surrounding hillsides and a beautiful section of the Lenneroute cycle path in the town area form an exciting contrast to the living industrial tradition in Plettenberg.
