Welsleben is the northernmost district of Bördeland and is located 15 km from the center of the state capital Magdeburg and 7 km from the town of Schönebeck (Elbe).
Federal highway 246a runs through Welsleben, on which you can reach junction 7 (Schönebeck) of the federal highway 14 after 1.5 km in an easterly direction.
The dominant feature of the town is the parish church of St. Pankratius, whose late Romanesque tower was erected as early as 1225. The nave was added in the Baroque style in 1671. Welsleben also has a number of ancient and listed buildings. The 1.80 m high and 18 m long Hundertwasser-style wall by Siefried Meyer is also one of the town's sights.
