Location
Hollenbek has 450 inhabitants and is located in the district of Herzogtum Lauenburg, approx. 11 km east of Mölln and 12 km southeast of Ratzeburg, in the middle of the Schaalsee Nature Park. It is 3 km to the Schaalsee and thus to the nearest bathing area. Hollenbek is enlivened by its clubs, such as the shooting club, the DRK and of course the volunteer fire department. A number of events are organized by these clubs every year and bring the village to life. Hollenbek is a young village and many families with children feel at home here.
The restaurant, located in the middle of the village by the village pond, invites you to enjoy a cool drink and excellent food. An elementary school and a kindergarten are located in Sterley, 3 km away, and children are transported there by school buses. General practitioners, banks and shopping facilities are also available in Sterley, as well as in Gudow, 5 km away.
In Gudow is the highway entrance to Hamburg. Hamburg can be reached via the highway in 30 minutes.
