The Marienhospital is also a 4-minute walk away and the Ruhr University Bochum is not far away. The University of Witten/Herdecke can be reached by bike in a good 8 minutes.

It's a 5-minute walk to the supermarket, a 3-minute walk to the bakery and 4 minutes by bike to Alnatura (city center). You can also find all the usual stores here. Kiosks, kebab stores, pharmacies, pizzerias etc. are all no more than 5 minutes' walk away.
