Historically, it should be mentioned that Mr. Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, better known as Lenin, moved into the house in September 1900. From Schwabing, he fought with other Russian emigrants against the Russian Tsarist Empire. In April 1901, his partner and later wife moved in with him in Munich. Shortly afterwards, they moved into a house together at Siegfriedstrasse 14.
During his time in the offered apartment, Lenin wrote the book ''Was nun? ''.
The former owner of the house was the social democrat Georg Rittmayer, who also ran a pub called "Zum Goldenen Onkel" in the same building.
A memorial plaque to Lernin was unveiled on 12.04.1968.
On December 7, 1970, it was damaged by an explosive attack and then removed for good.
