27612 Loxstedt-Wiemsdorf (Loxstedt) – NiedersachsenThe classic Lower Saxon two-storey hall house near Bremerhaven was partially renovated in 2015 in accordance with the plans of renowned architect Ronald Kirsch to meet modern requirements. The refurbishment can best be imagined as a "house within a house". The structural measures implemented included heating based on a geothermal brine-to-water heat pump and were dimensioned in such a way that other parts of the building, such as the large hallway, which may still be built or extended in the future, can also be supplied with heat. In all measures, great importance was attached to preserving the down-to-earth character of the building.
Remaining farm, built in 1802 on a park plot of 3,730 square meters, old trees,
2 paved parking spaces.
1st main house, thatched:
Heated living space currently approx. 150 m², geothermal brine heat pump, additional Bullerjan wood stove.
Then large hallway for summer use, area approx. 200m², loft-like character with a height of approx. 10m. Underfloor heating was installed in the thermally insulated floor slab of the hallway and a Gyro Focus open suspended fireplace was installed. The walls of the hallway are currently not thermally insulated and the thatched roof can be seen from below in this area, resulting in the loft-like character.
2nd barn, thatched:
1-storey, formerly a stable, floor area approx. 120m², possible car parking area
3rd outbuilding, in need of renovation:
2-storey, floor area approx. 100m², currently tool shed

Location
Live where others go on vacation: Wiemsdorf is located near the Weser between Bremerhaven and Bremen, close to the Weser Tunnel/Stotel highway junction. The village is characterized by thatched houses, the oldest thatched house in Landwürden dates back to 1638. In recent years, the village has been renovated with red-stone paving of the streets and planting. The nicely redesigned village square, which is located directly in front of this beautiful property, is the focal point of the village.
Neighboring Stotel and Loxstedt offer numerous shopping facilities for daily needs. Regular buses take schoolchildren to the surrounding communities.
